After much anticipation and 1 week 1 day late Connor David Stephens has arrived.  8 lbs 12 ozs 20 1/2 inches long with a full head of dark brown hair.  My labor started shortly after leaving a ob appointment; but we didn't go to the hospital until about 7 pm (June 4)  after some drug-free labor and 2 1/2 hours of drug free pushing he was born at 2:31 am.  He was delivered with his hand in front of his face which left a red mark (stork bite) that the doctor says should disappear by the time he is two

I had my two week check-up and I am 9lbs 5ozs and 21inches long.  All is well except I don't like to sleep.

I delighted my mom and dad by smiling today!

 

I laughed for mommy's friend Joy (mommy heard), but I didn't laugh for mommy and daddy until August 5.

I had a fluke night when I slept from 9:30 pm to 4:30 am.  I didn't even wake up to see the bat flying around the house!

I had my two month check-up today, I am 14lbs 8ozs and 23 inches long.  This puts me in the 95th percentile (in other words I am a big boy!).  I had to have five shots and mommy cried almost as much as I did.

Connor is a wonderfully alert baby and he brings us so much joy.  We only wish he would sleep more.  He is still up every two hours to eat, and he has no patience.  When he wakes up he wants to eat NOW!  He loves to go on walks to Bluff Point, and around the neighborhood.  But his favorite thing has definitely got to be his nightly bath.  He likes to look at the kitties but they want nothing to do with him.
